Hiking Expedition
The purpose of this photography project is to document some of my experiences while hiking and inspire others to take up the hobby. During the past few months, I’ve hiked eight mountains within the Lake George area and have captured images from each hike. Some of the photographs are intended to portray aspects of a hiker’s voyage and the others are meant to depict scenic views that each mountain has to offer. I’ve organized and labeled all of the photographs in a way that allows people to see which particular hike looks the most appealing.
A photographer that has inspired me to attempt a project like this is the Adirondack photographer, Carl Heilmann II. He is known for photographing landscapes within the Adirondack State Park. Carl Heilmann II has published several books, and has sold countless images of both the Lake George area and the High Peak Region. My landscape images are heavily influenced by his work.
